    Heyyy Babes! How are my fashion lovers & gurus!?! I’m back for more insight, this time from my experience last month. There’s something undeniably magical about Detroit when fashion and philanthropy collide, and the Detroit Auto Show Charity Preview delivered just that. On January 16th, Huntington Place transformed into a glamorous runway-meets-gala, where style, luxury, and purpose set the tone for one unforgettable night.

I had the absolute pleasure of attending with the Michigan Fashion Week team & of course my hubby because your girl is pregnant and she can’t handle events alone now, especially in heels. 

So from the moment we stepped inside, it was clear: this wasn’t just an auto show preview, it was a fashion moment.

The Fashion: Elevated, Bold, and Detroit-Coded

Guests truly understood the assignment. Think floor-length gowns with dramatic silhouettes, sleek tailoring with statement details, and textures that caught the light with every step. Sequins shimmered, satin flowed, and structured pieces made powerful statements, each look reflecting confidence and individuality.

Accessories played a starring role too. Sculptural clutches, bold metallic heels, and eye-catching jewelry brought the drama, while beauty looks ranged from classic old-Hollywood glam to modern, editorial edge. It was maximalism done right, refined, intentional, and unapologetically glamorous.

 Where Fashion Meets Philanthropy

What made the night even more special was the purpose behind the glamour. The Charity Preview supports children’s charities across Southeast Michigan, proving once again that fashion can be both beautiful and meaningful. There’s something powerful about seeing the community come together, creatives, leaders, and supporters, all dressed to the nines for a cause that truly matters.

Detroit Always Delivers

Being there with the Michigan Fashion Week team reminded me why Detroit continues to be a city to watch. The creativity, the confidence, the culture, it all showed up on the floor that night. The Charity Preview wasn’t just about cars or couture; it was about celebrating Detroit’s style, generosity, and unstoppable energy.
